This mission began as a heartfelt idea to give back to our community through the art of photography. “I felt every senior graduate, no matter their financial circumstances, deserved the opportunity to commemorate this achievement,” says  Dunice Harrell, who launched the very first Gift of a Lifetime campaign in 2023.

What started as a single crowdfunded effort to help underserved students obtain senior portraits has blossomed into something far more meaningful. Our supportive community enabled us to offer professional photoshoots to hundreds of families, capturing treasured memories at life’s most important milestones.

Today, that spark continues to grow through EmpowerPix, building on the legacy of the Gift of a Lifetime program and expanding opportunities for students in creative, educational, and empowering ways.
