Ways to Get Involved:
- Spread the Word: Share our mission and events on social media. Tag us @EmpowerPix and use #EmpowerPix to amplify the impact.
- Become a Brand Ambassador: Represent EmpowerPix at events, schools, and online. Host fundraisers or info sessions to grow awareness.
- Partner With Us: Collaborate as a business, organization, or influencer through sponsorships, campaigns, or hosted events.

- Photographers – Donate your talent to capture meaningful moments for students during photoshoots, creating senior portraits that inspire and last a lifetime.
- Event Coordination – Plan and organize photoshoot events, from scouting locations to managing logistics on the big day.
- Outreach & Marketing – Spread the word about our programs through social media, community outreach, and sharing our mission with potential supporters.
- Administrative Support – Provide behind-the-scenes help like donor management, scheduling, and coordinating volunteer efforts.
- Mentors – Guide students in setting goals, overcoming challenges, and celebrating achievements in a supportive, empowering environment.
- Tech & Equipment Support – Help manage, maintain, and prepare photography gear, laptops, and other tools so students and volunteers can focus on creating.

Photographers
Volunteer as a Photographer
If you’re a photographer and want to use your skills to support local students, EmpowerPix welcomes you to participate in our Gift of a Lifetime (GOAL) program. Your time and talent can make a real difference.
Senior Portrait Sessions
You can volunteer to photograph individual graduate(s) during scheduled portrait days, which typically run between March and May. These 30-45 min sessions (studio or location) are simple and focused on capturing clean and timeless images.
Community Events
You can help photograph EmpowerPix events or celebrations that highlight our impact in the community.
Editing Support
If you prefer to help behind the scenes, you can volunteer to edit portraits for students.
What to Expect
We keep the process simple.
- You choose the dates or sessions that work for you
- We provide the details ahead of time
- You bring your camera and your skill
- We give you clear expectations so you know exactly what you’re walking into
- You will provide 5 edited digital images (cap/gown and 1 outfit) for each student to EmpowerPix within 7 days of photoshoot
- You will be invited to our graduation celebration with GOAL recipients to present graduation gift (provided by EmpowerPix) to your student(s) - optional
- Portraits can be used for your portfolio and social media content (tag student)
We ask all volunteers to represent EmpowerPix with care and respect at each session.
Who Can Volunteer
We welcome photographers with experience in:
- Portraits
- Lifestyle photography
- Studio or natural light setups
If you’re still learning, that’s fine as long as you can capture clean, in-focus images and follow basic portrait guidelines.
What You Need
Most sessions require:
- A camera you’re comfortable with
- A portrait lens
- Basic lighting knowledge
- A willingness to work with students in a kind and steady way
We’ll share session expectations ahead of time.

After You Apply
Once you complete the form:
- We’ll review your portfolio or IG page
- You’ll receive a follow-up message with next steps
- Approved volunteers will be added to our scheduling list
- You’ll receive updates when new portrait dates or events are posted
